In the field of fundamental research the Laboratory team focuses on :
-examination of the state of microelements in aqueous solutions and their reactivity with respect to sorbents;
-physicochemical simulation of crystal growth processes in liquid-solid systems, variation of reactivity of a solid phase in the process of its evolution in a solution;
-problems of sample preparation, multi-element analysis of synthetic and natural substances with the use of the emission spectral analysis technique, mass spectrometry and electrochemical methods;
-redox processes accompanying extraction and complex formation on the surface of compositional paste electrodes in the voltamperometry mode;
-investigation of solid-gas, solid-liquid interfaces with laser-evaporation mass-spectrometry and voltamperometry.
